It is easy to Apply to New River Academy
New River Academy has simplified the application process into two easy phases. Below you can review how easy it is to apply to the New River Academy with the goal of earning your “acceptance letter.”
Enrollment Hint
Submitting a Phase I Application early gives families priority without being committed. Once your application is received NRA researches and seeks to write your “acceptance letter” offering you the opportunity to officially enroll. Waiting to apply has caused past students to disappointingly lose their space due to full enrollment.
Earning your New River Academy diploma is a proud day for you and your family..
Easy to Apply Applications
Waiting List Opens to New Students- March 1, 2010 Apply early.
During Phase I families express interest in New River Academy. New River Academy will learn your academic needs and goals, check references, and assess kayak abilities with the goal of approving your New River Academy “acceptance letter.” During Phase I you are not committed to enrollment and will place yourself at an advantage by completing Phase I early.

When/if you receive your “acceptance letter” you will also receive a Phase II Application. Legal documents such as waivers, med forms, and the alcohol and drug contract will be completed. When you submit the Phase II Application with your deposit, then you have secured the next seat available for a New River Academy semester and will become officially enrolled.
Download Explanation of Costs.
Often, schools or businesses will not publish costs of a product when they feel the cost will shock the family. It is important for New River Academy as a quality institution to publish tuition and additional fees upfront to illustrate the value of this educational opportunity. Please be encouraged to compare these costs to other boarding schools and discover for yourself the value.
Who does New River Academy accept?
This question seems more appropriately answered with who is not accepted? New River Academy is not an at-risk program and does not accept students who have been suspended, encountered drug, alcohol, or defiance related issues.
New River Academy seeks advanced placement students, families who prioritize learning, and are passionate for the outdoors and living an adventurous life. What if you have a learning disability or need to be challenged? Yes, the ratio of teachers to students provides an excellent educational model for learning disabilities and gifted students.
Receiving your New River Academy “Acceptance Letter”
You will be excited the day your “acceptance letter” arrives in the mail. The “acceptance letter” is your ticket to an inspiring education, cultural exploration, leadership learning, and kayak adventures. Arriving with your “acceptance letter” will be the Phase II Application.
Who takes care of transferring the transcript?
Accredited college preparatory school systems legally must transfer from one school system to the other via legal documents. Within your Phase II Application you will complete the “Permission to Release Student Records” document. By simply completing this release you have permitted New River Academy administration to take care of this task. It is that simple.
