VIDEO MEDIA Class:

So you are considering applying to New River Academy and are actually getting excited about school.  Taking a video or photo class is a no-brainer.  You are going to see and experience so much why not go ahead and master a new skill and have a record of your year.  Students learn the Final Cut Pro editing bundle as they master the fundamentals of composing and producing video segments. Parents enjoy the media courses too as they watch the projects go live on their child's blog page.

"Facing East" wins the "Best Environmental Film at the Reel Paddling Film Fest. Directed by Matt Hobbs & Co-directed by then NRA students Cael Jones, Tino Specht, Sam Fulbright and Produced by NRA Director David Hughes.  Congratulations Vital Films.

Chile's "Siete Tazas" has more than just seven perfect teacups to run.. and did we mention they're all clean! For this class video students had to produce a documentary style video composition.

Is the kayaking safe?  Did you know New River Academy has a perfect safety record?  Each program begins with a swiftwater rescue course to begin our foundation of safety.  Then students can build upon that safety model for the remainder of the semester.

 

 

Your New Home  Your Pucon, Chile base has a play hole in the front yard for mastering tricks, a view of a volcano, a soccer field, and plenty of beds and space for you to relax.
