Zoar $5000 Video Scholarship

Apply for a $5,000 Zoar Video Scholarship to attend New River Academy during the next academic year.

Have you ever thought of paddling amazing rivers in Chile and Ecuador while attending school? Or have you ever considered applying to attend New River Academy? If so, we wanted to let you know about an opportunity to receive a $5,000 Academic Scholarship for the upcoming school term.

Zoar Outdoors and the Huge Experiences’ New River Academy announce a $5,000 Academic Scholarship to the author of the best original video composition describing a remarkable river learning experience.

Deadline

Entries must be received by July 15, 2011.

Application Rules

Only one 2 to 3-minute video composition per member per category will be accepted.

Entry must be solely the work of the applicant; plagiarized entries will not be accepted.

All entries become the property of Zoar and Huge Experiences.

Video entries must be uploaded to New River Academy Facebook page.

Video Entry Theme and Tips

Include in your video:

“Five things Zoar Outdoors has taught me… ”

Begin with, “I want to apply to New River Academy because… ”

And end with “ … and that has made all the difference.”

Be creative.

Shoot video of yourself showing off your “special skills.”

Award

There will be a $5,000 Academic Scholarship to the author of the best original video composition to be solely applied to a full-year student. All entries must be submitted to New River Academy and include a cover letter that lists: your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, current grade level, and your high school name and address.
